Ingredients

2 baskets strawberries, 1 pint each, rinsed, dried, and hulled (about 4 cups) 

3/4 cup water 

3/4 cup sugar 

A few drops lemon juice or kirsch, optional 

Preparation

In a blender, puree the strawberries with the water and the sugar. Taste, and adjust flavor with a few drops of lemon juice or kirsch, if needed.

Transfer mixture to an ice-cream maker, and freeze, following manufacturer’s instructions.
