Ingredients
2
lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
6
slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
4
teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Cooking spray or vegetable oil
1/2
cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
6
burger buns
6
lettuce leaves
6
to 12 slices crisply cooked bacon
1
medium ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
1
to 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Preparation
Heat charcoal or gas grill. In medium bowl, mix all burger ingredients except cooking spray. Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Spray patties with cooking spray, or lightly brush with oil.
Place patties on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 11 to 13 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.
Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on bottom of each burger bun. Top each with lettuce, bacon, burger, avocado, tomato slice and bun top.
