Square glass vase, 6 to 8 inches tall

bunch fresh flowers with greenery, including fern frond
Floral scissors

inches decorative ribbon, 2 1/2 inches wide
Preparation
Fill vase with 1 1/2 inches water. Trim about 4 inches from flower stems, using floral scissors, so heads of flowers will be about 1 inch above top of vase. Gather flowers to make a bouquet; wrap ribbon around stems twice and tie in bow or knot. Trim ribbon ends.
Place flowers in vase, leaning flowers to one side.
