lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces

lb turkey Italian sausages, cut into 1-inch pieces

large red bell pepper, chopped (1 1/2 cups)

large onion, chopped (1 cup)

cloves garlic, finely chopped

teaspoon dried oregano leaves

to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

can (6 oz) tomato paste

can (14 oz) artichoke heart quarters, drained

1

can (4 oz) sliced ripe olives, drained

cups hot cooked rice

Preparation

In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except artichoke hearts, olives and rice.

Cover and cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.

Stir in artichoke hearts and olives; heat through. Serve with rice.
